57,000 determined and dedicated runners make the Great North Run the World’s biggest and best half marathon – famous for its warm North East welcome, unbeatable atmosphere and the millions raised for good causes. This year Pendleside Hospice have 12 places in the Great North Run.

Adam is back running the Great North Run this year and is looking forward to running the traditional route for the race after this was temporarily changed in 2021. Adam is aiming to beat his PB of 1:58:56 from last year and any donations people can make will go to Pendelside Hospice.

David has entered two events this year - the Burnley 10k in July and the Great North Run in September - and will be raising money for Pendleside Hospice.
David said 'The amazing people at Pendleside Hospice looked after Sam's Grandma, Marian Farrar, and also one of Sam's best friends, Kathy Morris, during their final few months. This charity does an incredible job, day in and day out, caring for terminally ill people'. David continued 'I have lots of work to do over the coming few months to be ready for both events, but your donations and support will help to spur me on as well as raising money for an incredibly worthwhile cause'.
