The gardens of Pendleside Hospice will be blooming this summer with hundreds of sunflower plaques, dedicated to our loves ones, planted in the Hospice grounds and providing a colourful display to welcome the warm sunshine and joy that summer brings.
Each sunflower plaque will have the name of each loved one hand written on and then after being planted in the Hospice grounds ready for the special Celebration of Life service on Saturday 3rd June, will bloom all throughout June, which is traditionally Hospice Sunflower Month. The bright and cheerful sunflowers will enhance the Hospice gardens and each one is a fitting tribute and celebration of the life of someone special.
To acknowledge each donation a sunflower card will be sent out along with a voucher redeemable at the Hospice shops or Hospice reception for an enamel sunflower pin badge.
The Celebration of Life Service at 2pm on 3rd June welcomes everyone and after the dedicating of the sunflowers there will be cream teas and other refreshments available and various hospice stalls. There will also be the opportunity to wander around the beautiful Hospice gardens and to view all the sunflowers that have been dedicated. Sunflower plaques will be available to purchase should you wish to plant one in your own garden or planter at home.
If you would like to dedicate a sunflower plaque click here or telephone the fundraising department on 01282 440120.
