Pendleside is excited to launch a brand-new Great Wall of China Trek, taking place 9–17 October 2027. An unforgettable adventure delivered in partnership with Global Adventure Challenges.

About the Great Wall of China Trek
Towering across mountains and plunging into deep valleys, the Great Wall of China is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, stretching an incredible 6,000km across the landscape of northern China.
This epic five-day charity trek takes you deep into the heart of this iconic landmark. Widely regarded as one of the best challenges of its kind, the route leads across ancient watchtowers, steep mountain paths and remote battlement stations far from the tourist crowds. There will be moments where the Wall stretches endlessly ahead, with no one else in sight, offering a rare and powerful sense of adventure.
Make no mistake, this trek is tough. The terrain is relentless, with thousands of steep stone steps climbed and descended each day, at times taking up to an hour to cover just a single kilometre. One of the ultimate highlights is the ascent of the 1,000 steps at Mutianyu, culminating in the dramatic climb of the legendary Heavenly Ladder, a true test of grit, determination and teamwork.
United as one team and supported every step of the way from sign-up to summit, this challenge pushes you physically and mentally and rewards you with unforgettable views, immense pride and an overwhelming sense of achievement.
After conquering the Wall, the adventure continues with time to explore Beijing’s world-famous sights, including the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, before celebrating your success together at a final group dinner, the perfect end to an extraordinary journey.
