Following the success of our first Pendleside Does Strictly event, which raised £56,555 in aid of Pendleside, we're so pleased to announce that it will be back on Friday 15th November 2024 at Impact Conferencing, Burnley.

Tickets go on sale on Monday 15th July, 10am. Each ticket is £50.00 and includes a two course meal from Simply Classic along with a full night of entertainment.

The evening will follow the same format as the popular BBC One program ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and see 10 dancers learn two dances to perform on the night. A panel of judges will score each dance, before a dance off between the top two couples which will decide the overall winner. 

As well as being entertained by the dancers, attendees will enjoy a two course meal, entertainment from Burnley College Dance and Gavin Young Wedding Entertainer, followed by dancing until late. Professional dancers from Sanderson Dance are providing our 'celeb' dancers training and expertise!

Meet our Celeb Dancers.....

   Dan Randall - Director of Life Church, Burnley

Dan is Director of the Life Church, Burnley where our very first Pendleside does Strictly took place! He was so blown away with the event he applied to be one of our celeb dancers for our second year! His colleagues can't wait to cheer him on this year as he takes the stage, as again we will be hosting the event at Impact Conferencing (Life Church), Burnley.

Liz Leigh - Pendleside Hospice Volunteer     

Liz volunteers in various roles throughout the hospice, she's often seen helping out at events, in our charity shops and on reception. Always a smiley face, we would be lost without her. 

  Endrit Shehu - Empower HQ & Accrington Stanley FC

Endrit was put up to the job by his wife Holly. The couple have Empower HQ gym in Barrowford and have supported the Hospice on multiple occasions, especailly offering fun warms ups before our more energetic events. Now Endrit is ready to push his boundries outside of the gym and onto the dancefloor.

Joanne Wright - Owner, Angles of Barrowford      

Jo is well known in the area for her big personality, she started supporting the hospice many years ago when her own mum was supported through treatment. Jo reached out and offered to support us with wigs for our patients who were suffering from hair loss through cancer treatment. 

   Rob Hallam - Managing Director, Bigtank Productions

Rob was another person who was in the room at last year's event. Rob was part of the team who livestreamed the event, and came away saying WOW. Seemingly Rob applied to be one of our celeb dancers for this year on the back of last year's fantastic event...this year we'll see him on stage rather than behind the camera.

Nicola Thompson - Owner Daisy Chain Florist, Burnley    

Nicola has supported the hospice for many year's through her florist in Briercliffe. She has kindly donated so many things for our events and fundraisers, along with helping to organise christmas wreath workshops all raising vital funds for the hospice.

   Liam Kilbride - Managing Director, LPK Management

Local lad Liam, couldn't believe his luck when we called him to tell him he had a place in this years line up, so much so he put the phone down in disbelief. Liam organises well supported local event Briercliffe Gala, we can't wait to see what he does to raise his sponsorship and in his words 'Lift the Glitterball'.

Sarah Dean - East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce    

The most bubbliest application we read, you could sense Sarah's pure excitement of the opportunity to take part in Pendleside Does Strictly! We can't wait to see what Sarah gets up to during the next few months, no doubt with pure joy and giggles.

Local businessman Chris is usually using his creative talent producing branding and signage for businesses. Taking part in Pendleside does Strictly will see Chris use his creative flare in a different way, and who knows maybe unleash a hidden talent.

Tracy Clavell-Bate - Barnfield Construction   

Head of Development at Barnfield Construction, Tracy celebrated a milestone birthday this year and has commited the year to having fun and trying new things. Dance lessons are now one of her new things, Tracy's competitiveness came out in her application stating if last year's winner Ian could do it then so could she...but can she lift the glitterball like Ian did?
