The Great North Run 2022 is taking place on Sunday 11th September.
The 13.1 mile route is lined by thousands of spectators. The course starts in Newcastle upon Tyne and takes runners through the city centre, over the iconic Tyne Bridge and right out towards the coast in South Shields.
The Great North Run is broadcast live on the BBC, over 57,000 runners each year take on the challenge; it’s an increasingly popular race and is one not to be missed.

Registration costs £50 per person and runners are expected to raise a minimum of £250 in sponsorship (not including Gift Aid).
If you would like to support the Hospice but don't want to be set a minimum fundraising target you are welcome to enter the ballot/register yourself directly with the Great Run team by following the link above... We can still provide you with a free fundraising pack!
