A team of colleagues and their friends from Remedy Gin Bar, which is on Ormerod Street in Burnley, have raised £2,000 in aid of Pendleside Hospice by completing the 10 mile Tough Mudder obstacle course on Sunday 10th September.
Madge Nawaz and Gazanfar Ali, owners of Remedy Bar, recruited 8 of their colleagues and friends to take part in the muddy challenge with them. The team raised £1,834 which was made up to £2,000 by Remedy Bar.
“We were all covered head to toe in bruises and mud which then dried making it extremely hard to get off in the shower, but it was worth it. We are already talking about doing another Tough Mudder next year”.
“We had such a great day. I think I took a wrong turn somewhere along the way as I seemed to run further than everyone else!”
Patrick Thornton, one of Team Remedy Tough Mudder members said,
“I took part and raised money in memory of my dad Jason Thornton who received care from the hospice. They were amazing and I wanted to give something back. My colleagues at Futaba Tenneco were very supportive as was everyone at Remedy”.
