PENDLESIDE HOSPICE REGISTRATION OF EVENTS

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.       All Pendleside Hospice events are organised to raise much needed funds for patient care therefore registration for events is on the understanding that you will undertake to raise sponsor money for Pendleside and to ensure that all the funds raised are sent to the hospice by the date specified on the sponsor forms.  We reserve the right to contact you after the event should you not submit sponsorship funds by the date specified.  We strongly recommend that participants in all our events set up an online Just Giving page to raise sponsorship as this money is donated directly to Pendleside by your sponsors and saves you having to collect in your sponsor money and return it to us.

2.       Everyone (including children and accompanying adults) who want to take part in an event must register by the official methods and pay the appropriate registration fee.  Only those people who have registered to take part by the official methods will be allowed to participate on the day of the event.

3.       If you need to cancel after you have registered for an event please contact the Fundraising Department on 01282 440120 as soon as possible.  Please note that registration fees are non-refundable.

4.       Event places are not transferable.  If you are unable to take part please contact the fundraising office as soon as possible to let them know.  Anyone that wants to take part in your place must register in the normal way and pay the appropriate fee.

5.       Age restrictions on events must be strictly adhered to.

6.       Anyone 16 or under on the day of the event must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 who is also registered to take part.

7.       Adults will be required to sign to accept responsibility of anyone aged 16 years and under and are responsible for their own conduct and that of those in their care for the duration of the event.

8.       Multiple and group registrations will be accepted for all events provided that full personal information is provided for each participant.  This includes each individual participant’s home address, telephone number, email address and date of birth.  Failure to supply this information or registering multiple people at the same address (unless family members) may delay your registration being processed.

9.       It is your responsibility to ensure that you and anyone you are taking responsibility for is fit and well enough to take part on the day of the event.  If you are in any doubt as to your physical fitness to take part we advise you to take medical advice.

10.   Adult participants are responsible for their own safety and security whilst taking part in the event and for those participants in their care.  Pendleside Hospice does not accept any responsibility or liability for any injury or loss that participants may experience.

11.   On the day of the event you must adhere to any instructions given to you by Pendleside Hospice staff, volunteers or their representatives and where there is a designated route it is your responsibility to ensure you stick to the designated route.

12.   By signing up to take part you are agreeing that any photographs and video taken by Pendleside Hospice authorised personnel may be used by Pendleside Hospice for publicity purposes in printed, social, online and broadcast media.

Pendleside Hospice will close registration for events when the maximum number of participants is reached or 1 week before the event date (whichever is sooner).  Once registration for an event is closed it is usually possible to register on the day of the event but at a higher cost (usually at least double the usual registration fee) which includes a donation in lieu of raising sponsorship.  It is advisable to telephone the hospice to ensure that on the day places are available.
