Special bereavement support sessions are being offered at Pendleside Hospice for people who are concerned about how they will cope during the festive period.
One-to-one drop in sessions for people who would like a friendly chat are being run on Thursday December 21st and Friday December 22nd.
The aim of the sessions is to provide some extra support for people who need it during the upcoming Christmas holidays, and also to support other family members who may be having a difficult time.
Simon Frauts, family support team leader at Pendleside Hospice said: “I’ve spoken to a number of people who have said that if they had access to a drop-in counselling service last Christmas it would have provided them with relief and comfort, and also helped them to support their family members.
“A lot of people who access the hospice feel they don’t need counselling, but this drop-in service lets those people still get some one-off extra support should they need it.”
The drop in sessions will run from 9am to 5pm on Thursday December 21st and Friday December 22nd at Pendleside Hospice in Colne Road, Reedley. Please call 01282 440102 to book a space.
