Pendleside Hospice | Hospice Care for Burnley and Pendle

Care Quality Commission reports and ratings

HOW WE ARE REGULATED

Pendleside is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. The Hospice has a lead inspector whose name can be obtained by contacting the CQC directly, or by contacting the Hospice and speaking to the Chief Executive or Clinical Services Manager.

We are registered with the CQC to provide:

  • Treatment of disease, disorder or injury
  • Diagnostic and screening procedures
  • Transport services, triage and medical advice provided remotely.

We were inspected by the CQC in March 2015, using the new way of inspecting services which was introduced in April 2015; we received an overall rating of GOOD. Full details of how the CQC inspects under the new regulations can be found here: http://www.cqc.org.uk/content/how-we-do-our-job
