This year's Mini One Car Raffle campaign was again a huge success and ran from April to October 2018.
Donna Lawrenson (47) of Accrington was the lucky winner whose ticket was drawn out of the boot on Saturday 6th October by the Mayor of Pendle, James Starkie. Donna has chosen to keep the Mini and is delighted with the fantastic win. She is now the owner of a 2018 plate Pepper white Mini One which was provided by Lloyds Mini Colne, who sponsored the raffle, along with Burnley & Pendle Freemasons, Fuelcard Services, Boohoo, Alderson & Horan Funeral Services and Macadam. Thank you very much to each of them for their generous support.
Over 13,000 tickets were sold for £2 each, raising an overall total of £27,455 for the hospice.
The Car raffle attended various events throughout the 7 months, including the Worsthorne & Hurstwood Scarecrow festival, Colne Blues Festival, Burnley Colour Dash, Little Hospice Heroes and Burnley 10k. It also made regular appearances at Towneley Garden Centre and Burnley Town Centre.
Leah Hutchinson, Pendleside Fundraiser said “2018 has been another successful year for the car raffle and we are so pleased with the total amount raised. Thank you to everyone who has supported this year’s campaign by sponsoring, attending events, buying tickets and also to all our wonderful volunteers who have helped out.”
