Pendleside Hospice has been shortlisted for two Red Rose Awards, just 12 months after last triumphing and being named ‘outstanding’ at the ceremony.
The hospice was crowned the best health and care business in the region at the 2019 awards, and this year has been shortlisted for the In-house Training and Retail Business awards.
Pendleside’s team, led by chief executive Helen McVey, now has to impress a panel of judges with a presentation and rigorous interview for both categories, before the winners are announced on Thursday 12 March at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
Helen said: “I’m incredibly proud for Pendleside to be shortlisted in two of the awards categories, especially as they recognise the hard work being put into our successful retail operation and our in-house training programme. We’re looking forward to meeting the interview panel and showcasing everything which makes Pendleside the amazing place it is.”
The Red Rose Awards honour the best, most inspirational and most innovative businesses operating in Lancashire.
Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View, which stages the Red Rose Awards, said: “This has already proven to be a fantastic year for the Red Rose Awards campaign. We always work to improve on the previous year’s event and by amending the timeline, and bringing the entry deadline forward, we have enabled more businesses to take part.
“The awards have grown in popularity over the years and more and more businesses are getting involved. This goes to show how exciting and vibrant the Lancashire economy is and that businesses of all stripes are enthusiastic about an opportunity to come together and celebrate each other’s’ successes.”
