Pendleside Hospice's Head of Income Generation is 'Braving the Shave' on Tuesday 11th May at 2pm at the hospice to raise money for Pendleside. Lisa has worked at Pendleside for almost three years and said 'I am priviledged to be part of such a phenomenal team. I am humbled that in my work I meet the patients and families that Pendleside helps and I witness first-hand the amazing impact this special place has on everyone that comes into contact with it'. Lisa has recently been diagnosed with Follicular Non Hodgkin Lymphoma, stage 2 and is about to start eight months of chemotherapy followed by two years of maintenance injections. Lisa was told that she might not loose her hair but explained that many people were told this only to loose it anyway. Lisa decided she wanted to take control and by Braving the Shave said something good can come from a not so great situation - helping Pendlesdie to help more people.
