Join our first Santa Stride for Pendleside, a 5 mile sponsored circular walk from Barley Village Green, to the trig of Pendle and back via Ogden Reservoir.
All participants will receive a fundraising pack containing sponsorship forms, posters, a Santa suit to wear on the day, a chocolate selection box and certificate.
The walk, which will be fully marshalled and sign posted, will commence at 10am. It's expected that it will take participants between 2-3 hours to complete the full route. The route is challenging in parts, therefore participants are expected to wear suitable footwear and clothing and bring plenty of water/drinks along with them to keep hydrated. Dogs are permitted to take part, but must be kept on a lead, under control at all times and picked up after.
Before and after the walk refreshments and Christmas goodies, including Hospice Christmas Cards and Calendars, will be available to purchase. There will also be opportunity to meet Santa Claus himself in the Grotto!
All walkers need to register to take part in this event- adults- £12.00, children (15 years or under) £7.50 or a family of 4 (x2 adults and x2 children)- £35.00 with additional children charged the full children's registration fee.
The registration fee only covers the cost of organising the event, therefore all participants are asked to raise sponsorship. The easiest way to do this is by setting up a JustGiving page which only takes a few minutes. There is a large pay and display carpark in Barley (BB12 9JX) which takes cash or card payments. If the car park is full on street parking is available but please be mindful of local residents and other individuals by not blocking access to roads, driveways etc.
