Silentnight Beds was first to pledge its support after Richard Logan Chief Operations Officer attended a Leaders Lunch at Pendleside in November and they made the decision to become  a Platinum Member for Pendlesides 30th Anniversary year of 2018.

Christina Cope said “Silentnight are helping to fund specialist palliative and end of life care for patients and families when they face such great difficulties.

Joining our patron scheme is a wonderful way to show support for Pendleside. All our Patrons will receive a number of benefits, but the real benefit will be knowing they are helping to fund specialist care for patients and their families when their need is greatest.

Ian Fortune, Operations Process Improvement & Industrial Engineering Manager, said:
“Silentnight is proud to support Pendleside in caring for people in our community when they need it most. The Corporate Patron Scheme is an easy and effective way of sustaining the Charity with the ever increasing demand for its services”.

Tracy Smith, who works as a Laboratory Manager at Silentnight Barnoldswick, said “Many of our employees knew some of our work colleagues who were cared for at the Hospice. Paul Rawcliffe was a respected colleague who used the Hospice and as recently as last year Mark Metcalf sadly passed away in their care.  On a personal note, my grandmother Brenda Shackleton was also looked after at Pendleside and I know it was a great comfort to my family to know she was so well cared for there”.
