Pendleside Hospice named as Boundary Mill charity of the year
Pendleside Hospice has been named charity of the year by Boundary Mill store in Colne.
The fashion and homeware retailer will be helping raise funds to support the work of the Reedley based hospice from now until the end of March 2018.
During this time, they will be raising money in store through collections, charity box donations and a number of staff fundraising events.
Helen McVey, CEO of Pendleside Hospice said: “It’s a real honour to have been selected as Boundary Mill’s nominated charity of the year.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to help spread the word about Pendleside’s work and Boundary Mill’s generosity will make a real difference to the lives of families in Burnley and Pendle.”
Jane Daunt, Boundary Mill Colne Store Director said: “Each year we support a different local charitable cause, this year staff voted overwhelmingly for Pendleside Hospice.
“The Hospice has a special place in the hearts of local people, and we hope to raise a substantial amount of money with the help and generosity of our customers to help continue their fantastic work.”
This weekend (Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th) Boundary Mill will play host to a special fundraising event for the Hospice, where fundraisers from Pendleside will be on hand to collect donations.
