Join Pendleside's annual fun family friendly event presented by Little Hospice Heroes: ‘Carnival in the Park’ on Sunday 18th August 2019 where hundreds of children will walk a 3k route around Barrowford Park, raising vital funds for Pendleside Hospice.

Registration for this event costs £7.50 per child.

The event is for children age 14 years or under and they must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event (accompanying adults take part free of charge). Dogs are welcome but have to be on a lead for the the duration of the event.

Our fully marshalled pram friendly route will start at 10.30am with 'check in' opening at 9.30am in our Hospice marquee near the playground.

Upon completion of the walk, each child will be rewarded with a well earned medal and packed lunch. They will also receive a goody bag which they will fill along the route and a certificate when sponsorship money has been received.

Near the marquee area before and after the walk, there will be food concessions, stalls, face painting, and much more!! At 1pm there will be a Circus Skills performance followed by a circus skill workshop for all registered children. A suggested £2 donation is kindly asked for any children who are not registered on the walk. At 3pm there will also be a Duck Race- ducks can be bought on the day for £2 each.

This year, we are introducing our sponsorship challenge for the children taking part. Every child who raises a minimum of £50 will receive a Pendleside pin badge and every child who raises a minimum of £100 will receive a pin badge as well as a collectable Pendleside Hospice Bear!
