Hadrian Thorne took part in the Great North Run on Sunday 9th September and raised £1,300 in aid of Pendleside Hospice!
Hadrian, who is Managing Director of Thorne Access and Security, decided to take on the 13.1 mile run as part of his 100 mile challenge, which he started 3 weeks prior.
"My mum's friend Julie Talbot received hospice care so I saw first hand what a great services are provided. Raising money and running in memory of Julie gave me the incentive I sometimes needed to keep going throughout my challenge. The final mile of the Great North Run was mile 100 and even though my feet were in agony it felt amazing to cross the finish line".
