In 2018 Pendleside Hospice will celebrate 30 years caring for people in Burnley and Pendle diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, their family and carers. There will be lots of events taking place throughout the year including the ’30 Years of Caring’ concert on 17th May 2018 at the Burnley Mechanics.
The concert is being organised by Vicky Johnson-Brown and local opera singer Sean Ruane, who is famous for his inspirational rendition of “Jerusalem” at several Ashes test cricket series. The duo now run CHANT Productions, a company which trains ordinary adults and children to a level where they can sing at huge sporting, cultural and local events.
Over a dozen schools have signed up to take part in this exciting new collaboration between the Hospice and Chant, to raise much needed funds for the Hospice. Each school will take part in exciting workshops with Chant in the months leading up to the event and perform on the evening with Sean a variety of songs from popular music to musicals.
