Pendle Beer Festival 2nd – 4th February 2012, Colne Muni
This year’s 8th Pendle Beer Festival was a fantastic success with around £6,000 being raised for Pendleside Hospice. Through barrel sponsorship, raffle ticket sales and donations this remarkable figure has been achieved.
It goes without saying that Pendleside Hospice would like to thank all those involved, including Hospice volunteers, East Lancs CAMRA and in particular Martyn Pashley (festival organiser) who with the help of his team worked relentlessly to put on the event and make it so successful.
Pendleside Hospice would also like to pay special thanks to all those who contributed, bought raffle tickets and merchandise and not forgetting those who sponsored a beer barrel at £40 with all of the proceeds going directly towards patient care.
This year we had a record 87 barrel sponsors in total which was more than last year and who knows we may get even more next year.

The money raised will help the hospice provide care to local people suffering from cancer and other life limiting illnesses. The cost of providing care increases year on year in response to demand from services. Current annual running costs exceed £3.2 million of which more than £2.35 million has to be raised from fundraising events and donations.
