Do you have cancer or a life limiting illness? Are you a relative/carer looking after a patient with a life limiting illness?
Maybe you're on a roller coaster of emotions - anger, disbelief, fear & uncertainty. Do you not know where to turn?
What can Pendleside Information & Resource Clinic do to help?
- A drop in clinic for patients, carers & relatives (must be 18 years or over)
- No referral needed - just call in
- Qualified staff to answer any questions you may have ,on a one to one basis.
- Psychological support
- Citizen's Advice Bureau offering advice on financial matters,
housing, employment issues etc.
- Complementary Therapies
- Physiotherapy
- Family Support Co-ordinator offering support to family/carers
- Access to a computer and the internet for those wishing to access
web-based information.
What does the clinic provide?
- A programme of speakers between 1pm - 2pm.
Example: Occupational Therapist, Pharmacist, Doctor etc.
- Relaxation
- Friendship & peer support group 2pm - 3pm
- General advice & information
- One to one support for patients/relatives or carers
- Monthly visit from Regional Motor Neurone Disease Advisor

Where & When?
The drop in clinic is available in the Day Therapy unit at Pendleside Hospice every Wednesday afternoon from 12 noon - 3.30pm.
No appointment needed just call in.
What about Transport?
You are experiencing difficulty getting to the clinic please contact the hospice day therapy unit.
What does it cost?
All support & care provided at Pendleside is free of charge to anyone who wishes to access the services.
Do I need a referral?
No referral needed just drop in.
