Midnight Walk - Saturday 27th June 2009
A ladies only sponsored walk beginning at Midnight!
8 Mile Walk covering The Burnley & Pendle Area.

Pendleside Hospice invites you to join them for its first Midnight Walk.

Taking place on Saturday 27th June 2009, this 8-mile fully marshalled walk will cover both Burnley and Pendle and will begin at midnight from Burnley Football Club. The route will be on established, well-lit footpaths.

The entry fee is just £10 per person and every walker will receive a Midnight Walk T-shirt, refreshments on the night and on completion of the walk, a medal and a very welcome bacon butty (or vegetarian option).

All we ask in return is that you raise as much sponsorship as you can to help support our work in your community.

You can take part as a way to keep fit or as a fun activity with friends or colleagues. If you wish, you can walk in memory of someone who was dear to you, whether they received care from the Hospice or not. The walk will enable you to cherish the memories you have of that person in a special way.

Pendleside Hospice provides care to local people suffering from cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. The Hospice is able to provide that care thanks to the support of the community, which raises £1.6 million towards annual running costs of over £2.4 million.

The walk is restricted to ladies only. However, men can get involved by helping on the night as stewards or volunteers.

To enter, please download and complete the registration form (Available as a PDF Here) and return to us with a £10 registration fee for each person wishing to take part. Please feel free to photocopy the form or provide the details of additional walkers on a separate sheet. We will send out a full information pack for each walker in the New Year.
