Breathlessness Management The service aims to improve the quality of life of patients experiencing breathlessness as a result of their palliative disease. It is part of an East Lancashire wide service and offers appointments locally at the hospice or in the patient’s home depending on need. It is run by two senior hospice nurses. We offer a range of treatments and interventions, including: Breathing exercises Breathing control techniques Coping strategies Management of anxiety Referrals are accepted from any health professional, patient relative or carer.
