Bereavement Support Group

Some illnesses progress despite positive attitudes and advances in treatments. The death of someone close to us can be a devastating experience and a time when we need the support and understanding of family and friends. Sometimes, however, it helps to be able to talk to someone outside that close network, and who is not also grieving.

Bereavement Support is available in the person’s home or at Pendleside.

Ongoing support is offered at group meetings where people can talk to others who have been bereaved as well as to hospice staff.

Meetings are usually held on a monthly basis on weekday evenings.

Bereavement Support is also offered to children on an individual basis or as part of the family structure.

Information about other agencies can be made available on request.
