A 12 mile spectacular circuit on hoof, foot or bicycle around the Cliviger Gorge starting from Towneley Park, Burnley. Entrants to receive a written route description and marked up map on the day. The route will have manned checkpoints and there is a convenient ½ way pick up for those not wishing to complete the full 12 miles. This route passes through a wind farm. From the 4th to the 7th December 2008 the National Association of Flower Arrangements Societies (North West area), are staging a Christmas festival at the magnificent Towneley Hall. Twenty five flower clubs will be involved creating spectacular floral displays. Pendleside Hospice has been chosen as the charity to benefit from this event.
